International Association of Unions of Architects (IAUA),
Architectural Council of Central and Eastern Europe (ACCEE),
Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation (IFESCCO).
The participants of the joint session, representing 22 countries of Europe and Asia, being aware of the fact, that it is important to promote cultural, artistic and humanitarian contacts between young architects from the CIS countries, consider it necessary:
1. To recognize the importance of organizing such competitions as III Minsk International Biennale of young architects Leonardo Award 2009 for the youth of the CIS countries.
2. To ask the administration of the Intergovernmental Foundation for humanitarian cooperation (IFESCCO) to provide continuous support to the project “Leonardo Award”.
3. To underline strong need for expansion and consolidation of cultural, artistic and humanitarian contacts among creative youth of the CIS countries as well as other European and Asian countries and even other continents.
4. To realize the importance of governmental support of national unions and youth sections or clubs under the maintenance of these unions.
5. To discuss the question, considering the times of globalization, about the creation with the support of the International Association of Unions of Architects (IAUA) Moscow (Russia) an Internet portal with the database about job vacancies for young architects, competitions, grants, internships etc.
6. To establish an architectural diploma of common pattern, its validation in the CIS countries as well as other countries-members of the International Union of Architects (UIA).
7. To create common standards in the CIS countries on:
- the educational programme at the universities;
- certification and license obtainment for young architects.
